Gerusalemme Est è un sobborgo o un centro? Gerusalemme è stata per molti il centro del mondo, o uno dei centri del mondo, sebbene sia ora più un centro di tensione — una tensione che è così palpabile che puoi sentirla cadere e allontanarsi quando lasci la città. Is East Jerusalem a suburb or a centre? Jerusalem has been for many the centre of the world, or one of the centres of the world, now though it is more a centre of tension — a tension that is so palpable you can feel it drop off and away as you leave the city. What does the “East” in the name do? Does it balance it with the West? Or does it make it a mere suburb of the West (Israeli) where the power lies?
